Oso!

So, we just adopted a 9-week-old puppy from the SPCA. He is a husky mix and super-cute! He is so cuddly and gentle, and he is learning pretty fast. We're trying to get him into a routine, so he doesn't pee in his crate or whine all the time.

He's learning where to go outside to go to the bathroom, and we're learning what he needs (lots of attention, cuddle time, play time, and an eye on him all the time or he'll pee around the room!).

I'm going to try to upload some pictures here, but I don't know if it'll work. If not, I'll try to do it at home!

Things are good!

Hey, I haven't written in a while. It's been a combination of busy-ness with the house and laziness on my part. The house is looking wonderful! Everything is painted and moved in. There's even a bird-feeder outside. The movies are in alphabetical-order in our bookshelves, etc.

We're hoping in the next few weeks to fix the garage door (which is not working) and the fence. Hopefully when the fence is fixed, we are going to go to the SPCA and get a dog! Yay! I'm super-excited about that, but I know we need to fix the fence first! :-)

I've also been drastically reducing my television watching and trying to reconnect to the world. I've been going to church every week and Bible study most weeks, and I'm going to a class at church to learn more about the church and decide whether or not I want to be a member there.

Also fun stuff...Julio and I will have our 5 year since-we-started-dating anniversary on February 10th. We're hoping to go into NYC for Valentine's Day and have lunch in Central Park and go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square, and Rockefellar Center. We'll be walking our butts off, since I don't know how to use the subway. Wish us luck!
